For those interested in books for children and young adults, there is perhaps no better-loved resource than The Horn Book Magazine. Published first in 1924, this bi-monthly publication has long covered all aspects of literature for young people, from information about forthcoming publications, to reviews, author interviews, and reporting on the state of the field.
And for 50 years now, The Horn Book has collaborated with The Boston Globe to confer annual awards on the best fiction and poetry, nonfiction, and picture books for children and young adults. The Boston Globe-Horn Book Awards are among the most prestigious in the biz, with the announcements of awards highly anticipated each spring.
