A few weeks ago, I was invited by author Kameel Nasr to talk about books for boys on his show “Local Authors” on Cambridge Community TV. My first live TV interview! In fact, my first TV interview, period. I was delighted to accept and get the word out about Bookish Boys.
Kameel is founder of The Curiosity Foundation, and a Cambridge-based author himself. His books include a mystery series set in Boston, and a memoir about a bicycle trip around the world.
Watch our conversation on youtube, and do give us a thumbs-up if you enjoy it!
Books and audiobooks I mentioned during the interview:
- Where The Sidewalk Ends (audiobook – see my review)
- The Dreamer (book and audiobook – see my review)
- A Long Walk to Water (audiobook – see my review)
- Percy Jackson and the Olympians (though my boys were mortified when they heard me attributing Percy’s paternity to Zeus and not Poseidon. In my defense, I haven’t read the series yet, which is why it’s not yet on the blog! Percy, you’re definitely on my list now.)
